I've never seen Jim have anything other than an amazingly warm, kind, friendly interaction with anyone in my clinic groups. He goes out of his way to help people feel comfortable and included. He's also a frequent flyer at our post-clinic Telemark Tailgates, and helps connect people and build new friendships within the telemark community.

Jim has been coming to Telemark Thursdaze for at least five, maybe nearly ten years now? Wow, time flies. He's always seeking ways ton make his skiing more fun, more efficient, and more effective.

What would you consider this person’s strengths and/or weaknesses?

Jim is very, very intelligent and a speedy learner. He's great with people, easygoing and comforting, and just generally fun to hang out with. I haven't found his weaknesses other than minor inefficiencies in technique.

Is there anything else you feel would be important for us to know, and if so, please describe?

Jim would be an excellent addition to our team at Meadows. He and I have spoken previously about what to expect, and he's well aware that he'll spend almost all of his teaching time in alpine lessons. But he's keen to improve his skills both on the alpine and telemark grunts, and plans to attend trainings in both disciplines frequently. I believe he could be a great asset in years to come as a telemark instructor when he follows through on his stated desire to pursue and achieve certification. In summary, Jim is a great guy, has great people skills, a strong technical skiing foundation, and an insatiable hunger to learn more and hone his craft every year.
