Connor and I only got to work together for a short time, but we’ve known each other for years and I can attest to his abilities in other jobs he’s had. He is consistently reliable and able to be thrown into new and difficult situations and not only keep his head above water, but thrive and better the atmosphere of those working with him

Connor is great at handling conflict and has demonstrated consistent respect towards customers. I mark this as a 4 simply due to him being a quieter person in an industry that often rewards extroversion, but even then I have observed a charm to his stoicism, and he is by no means shy or impersonal

Again I leave this as a 4 simply due to what little time I had working with him, so I don’t feel as though I have the authority to award a 5. However I would not be surprised if others do, as while working with Connor he was consistently engaged and driven in his work

As both Connor’s coworker and his friend I can attest to his desire to improve quite well. He is ambitious, eager to learn all that anyone can teach him, and strikes the perfect balance of competitiveness where he is hungry to get better while also valuing the team atmosphere of the job

I’ve already talked at length about Connor’s reliability, but I’d like to further emphasize his intelligence and morality. I’m a believer that a moral person will enhance any business within customer service and provide a boost to all desired results, and I can vouch that Connor fits perfectly into this category. Additionally, Connor is fiercely intelligent and wise. He is someone I can expect to rapidly get his bearings in a new situation and consider problems and challenges quickly, decisively, and effectively.

In terms of weaknesses, all I can think to point to is the source of the wisdom I’ve previously mentioned. Connor has gathered a massive collection of experiences and travel stories, and generally has a free spirit. If you are looking for someone for a long term career, Connor might not be the person for you in this stage of his life. That said, I have not known him to simply drop off the face of the earth. Any travel he might take would assuredly be planned and communicated to his employers with respect

For a bit of context as to the short period of time we worked together: the restaurant I work at was going through a period of rapid staff changes, and with our head bartender sick, we suddenly found ourselves in a week where I (with only a couple months experience) was the most experienced server. At my recommendation we brought Connor in to help us, as well as a number of others that had never worked front of house before. The hours before the rush were spent with me quickly training these new team members and showing them the basics of how to provide a good service. It was quite a stressful time, however what I believe to be our saving grace was when Connor got to the restaurant. I showed him around and then asked “is this stressful for you or just another day at the office?” Without skipping a beat he responded with the latter. I assigned him his section and we were off, me frequently relying on him throughout the night, even though he had just started. Connor is someone you can rely on even in the most stressful of times, and someone intelligent enough to thrive under pressure, staying calm and collected the entire time
