| Comments regarding your experience with this person (not required) | When I hired Julia her references were exceptional. I hired her as a policy analyst with the workers' compensation division. She has oversight for one of the most complex areas in workers' comp and supported a program area that had a couple prickly folks with strong opinions. She was able to build positive working relationships, and earn the trust and respect of everyone She worked with. She facilitated some heated conversations to reach consensus. She resigned in October 2020, and I've been trying to fill her position ever since. |

| Comments about dedication or engagement (not required) | Julia was dedicated to her work and the agency. And she was engaged with her peers and the program she supported. In my 10 years as a manager with the workers' compensation division (and 35 years with the state of Oregon), she's everything you look for in an employee. She a truly amazing person and I'm fortunate to be able to call her a friend over the last 5 years. |

And I want surprised when she told me about wanting to teach skiing. She loves life, family, travel, and skiing. I think she's someone who desires to improve professionally and personally, and is always looking for learning opportunities. |
| What would you consider this person’s strengths and/or weaknesses? | Her strength is being able listen (something i could do more), always having a positive attitude (there were a few situations where I wouldn't have blamed her if she wanted to vent, but she didn't), being tactful... I see in Julia skills i wish I was better in. It's why I became Julia's friend. She's someone you want to be around. I can't think any of weaknesses. She knows what she wants in life and goes after it. And she really enjoys life and the PNW. |
| Is there anything else you feel would be important for us to know, and if so, please describe? | I think you will be incredibly fortunate to have Julia on your team. She is incredibly patient, she is thoughtful, and encouraging. I think she has all the skills I would want if someone was teaching me to ski. Except I hate the cold and snow. But I know she would make it fun! |
