| Comments regarding your experience working with this person (not required) | Kelly is a very diligent and hardworking team member. She is passionate about performing work to the highest standard and encouraging others to do the same. She is an excellent communicator. She is clearly passionate about educating others and sharing her knowledge. This has been an asset internally in skill building/teamwork, but also in our programs with the public where sharing her passions and interests inspires attendees and leaves them feeling more connected to their public lands and responsible for caring for them. |
| Please rate this person's ability to handle conflict with employees and/or customers? | 5-excellent |
| Comments regarding handling conflict (not required) | Kelly has had some challenging situations with poor communication from her USFS points of contact this season. She's handled the situation gracefully and shown that she can communicate her needs and establish work appropriate boundaries independently, while keeping me in the loop and asking for help where it's needed. These challenging communication styles from the USFS could have hamstringed her productivity this season but she was undeterred and found ways to communicate effectively, was very proactive about establishing work plans, and has had a wonderfully productive season. |

| Please rate this person's willingness or desire to improve their performance at work | 5-excellent |
| Comments regarding willingness or desire to improve performance (not required) | I've really appreciated that Kelly is frequently sharing ideas to improve her effectiveness in the role and share what's working/not working. We've implemented several of her ideas this season and they've all been useful. She is always looking for ways to improve although she already performs a very high standard of work. |
| What would you consider this person’s strengths and/or weaknesses? | Strong communicator. Not shy and able to communicate what her needs/concerns are professionally and appropriately and to have direct conversations with members of the public on sometimes touchy subjects. Works well with others but is also naturally independent and can self direct very effectively. Natural leader. Strong educational background. |
| Is there anything else you feel would be important for us to know, and if so, please describe? | You'd be lucky to have Kelly on your team! She's an asset and it's been great to work with her this season. |
