| Comments regarding your experience working with this person (not required) | I hired Jake as a field instructor to lead backcountry backpacking, canoe, and river paddling trips. I traveled and worked with Jake driving from our home base in NC to the White Mountains in NH, the Everglades in Florida, and plenty of trips in Pisgah National Forest. He is one of the best employees I ever hired and he still works for NCOAE on a trip by trip basis based on his availability. He is a top notch instructor for technical outdoor and leadership skills, always keep his students’ safety and wellbeing at top of mind, and will do whatever it takes to make a trip successful and impactful for the students. He has an amazing sense of humor and ability to connect with colleagues and students alike. Since moving to OR he has also honed his skills as a whitewater rafting guide. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is an asset to any company lucky enough to hire him. |
